#10

A quick note of thanks: The annual list of the “50 Most Powerful Physician Executives in the U.S.” was released today by Modern Healthcare magazine, and yours truly clocks in at number 10, just behind the Surgeon General and the heads of the NIH, CDC, FDA, AHRQ, and Joint Commission. In fact, #10 makes me the top ranked academic physician on the list… and, more importantly, the top blogger!

While I assume that my family (particularly the folks in Boca) voted early and often, I’m certain that the readers of this blog had plenty to do with this honor. I am truly humbled and grateful.

Please don’t discount your clear writing that allows non-medical readers to access the information you present. AND that you are willing to take in new information, which is huge.

    Congratulations, Bob,

If only the other 49 would read your essays and my comments. Do you pump iron?

    Best regards,

#10—well deserved. However, you are #1 among your colleagues when it comes not only to thinking so broadly and deeply, but also to sacrificing precious time to put your thoughts down for our benefit. I am grateful.
