Dr Marciniuk reviews new data from a phase 3 ETHOS substudy evaluating lung function decline in patients receiving inhaled corticosteroid (ICS)-containing therapies vs non–ICS-containing therapies. Finally, he highlights a retrospective cohort study using data from the US 2015 Inpatient Sample, which compared outcomes of patients admitted to hospitals with COPD exacerbations with and without mobility impairment.
