Scenes from the Vascular Annual Meeting
Beyond the Plenary Sessions and scientific abstract presentations, there were many exciting events in which to participate and presentations to attend throughout the Vascular Annual Meeting, including sessions especially planned for residents and students. These photos capture some of the action:
SVS President Dr. Bruce Perler honors seven of the new SVS Distinguished Fellows Wednesday at the Vascular Annual Meeting. These members have made substantial contributions in two of three categories – research, service or education – in a sustained manner.
General surgery residents and medical students got the chance to learn the tools of the vascular surgeon’s trade during simulation training in open and endovascular procedures Wednesday.
At the first Vascular Quality Initiative Annual Meeting, VQI President Dr. Larry Kraiss (left) presented Dr. Jack Cronenwett with an award for his “exceptional service and leadership."
Dr. Venita Chandra of Stanford University provided general surgery residents with a program director’s perspective on interviewing and preparing fellowship applications during a program breakfast for the residents Thursday morning.
